One of the best things about the Advanced Obedience Lessons Program is that YOU are in the driver’s seat. You will have 4 private lessons, that are 1 hour each with a trainer that will teach whatever advanced commands you choose. This package is great for those owners that have specific commands they want their dog to learn that were not covered in the basic obedience lessons program.

A few examples of some of the commands our clients ask for are;

Under – Teach your dog to “place” or “down” underneath their legs while seated in a chair..Great for flying, dining out, or simply enjoying a park or scenic view and having your dog safe and secure underneath you.

Through-We teach your dog to come around the non-heel side of the body and take a position between the owners legs. This command is great for those that want a protective type stance with their dog or simply want the ability to have their dog position themselves as tightly in their space as possible. Safety and security are a couple of the main reasons our clients choose this command.

Up/Pressure-This command is great for those that want their dog to put themselves on the owners chest in a hug or in a way that the dog is applying pressure to the owners body. Many clients that deal with anxiety or stress choose this command and let their dogs be a soothing presence on them.

Focus-Our dogs can become hyper fixated on certain things around them. One of the ways we teach our dogs to look to us for guidance or even comfort is with the focus command. Dogs that are extremely high drive or impulsive can have difficulty maintaining focus on their owners when stimulus is present, the focus command is a way we can break those periods of impulsiveness or hyper fixation and place their attention back on the owner, where it belongs.

Some of the more fun commands clients choose are;

Sit pretty, distance down, down in motion, come to heel, back (walk backwards), speak, and the list goes on!

• Another great benefit of the Advanced Obedience Lessons Program is that these lessons can be conducted on “field trips” to off site locations that you decide. If you want to take your dog to a bark fest at a local brewery and work on things in a high stimulant environment, we can do it! The only thing that will hold back training is the imagination!
• We structure our lessons package in a way that won’t leave you high and dry week to week wondering how to approach your dog’s training at home and will ensure you and your dog are confident in what is being learned each lesson. The Advanced Obedience Lessons are meant to empower each owner with the tools necessary to take the reins of their dog’s training and allow them to see the growth and progression in their dog each and every week.
• The Advanced Obedience Lessons Program does require more communication between owners and the trainer as the trainer will need appropriate notification of a desired command ahead of each lesson. This allows the trainer to properly prepare for a potential command that requires a more extensive approach.
